Group Operated Switch Adjustments
Getting started – recommended tools, preparation for work activities, where to go for help or assistance
GOS-01 Rocker Bottom Adjustment – provides adjustment of the blade end, which should be centered vertically relative to the rear two fingers of the jaw
GOS-02 Blade Insertion Depth – provides adjustment for the proper depth of the blade into the jaw and the correct alignment of the jaw and jaw housing to the blade
Rotating insulator stop – adjust stop position to prevent over-travel of the blade when opening and closing
Piercing set screws – our recommended method to avoid stripping threads
POP-01 Interphase Pipe Toggle Adjustment – describes the adjustment procedure for toggle of the interphase pipe and crank arm; toggle mechanically precludes the accidental or unintended opening of the switch
Rotating insulator bearing – proper orientation of 5″ bolt circle bearing
Insulator alignment or leveling – typically not required

Multi-Bottle Vacuum Interrupter Adjustments

MBI-01 Blade Clamp Adjustment – positions the blade clamp at the proper distance from the end of the blade for proper engagement of the interrupter trip arm during switch opening
MBI-02 Auxiliary Contact Adjustment – positions the auxiliary stationary contact for proper engagement of the moving contact during switch closing
MBI-03 Pick-Up Rod Adjustment – provides adjustment of the pick-up rod for proper engagement of the interrupter trip arm in opening
